Kenny Braun is a photographer born and raised in Houston, Texas. He moved to Austin, Texas in 1986 to play music and attend the University of Texas and received a BS in Radio, Television and Film. He worked in the television industry for 7 years before moving onto a career in photography. Since then his work has been exhibited widely, garnering critical acclaim and numerous awards. He divides his work between editorial, commercial and personal assignments that explore a sense of place and memory by returning to scenes from his childhood. Braun serves on the board of the Texas Photographic Society and is listed as a contributing photographer for Texas Monthly Magazine.
Among his clients are Texas Monthly Magazine, W Magazine, Women's Health Magazine, Glamour Magazine, Spirit Magazine, Wired Magazine, Texas Highways Magazine, Southern Living Magazine, Pentagram Design and The University of Texas.
