Texas State Parks

I just finished shooting an assignment for Texas Monthly on state parks; a rare 2 week long assignment that zig-zagged across the state along some 3500 miles of highway, gravel roads and hiking trails. I really love these kinds of assignments that are part road trip, part logistics workout and part photo shoot. Quite exhausting but exhilarating as well. See the results here.

Ropes

My good friend Greg Glover is a ropes challenge course program facilitator. The program leads participants through physical and mental challenges designed to teach skills of communication, planning, goal setting and teamwork. While working for the Travis County Community Supervision and Corrections Department SMART Program, Greg led groups of inmates through the program before they were released.

Farm to Table

I recently shot an assignment for Farm to Table who distributes locally grown produce to Austin area restaurants, commercial kitchens, cafeterias and independent grocery stores. It’s always great when assignments have interesting and relevant subjects like community and sustainable lifestyles. And in this case the fresh produce that I got to take home was icing on the cake.
